Congratulations Jeremiah Holt for placing second in the UT-West M1 Summer Cancer Research Program 2018 with his project presentation titled “Integrative analysis of miRNA expression in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC).” Jeremiah is a second-year medical student at UTHSC. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the honors program at the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, along with a minor in Computer Science. After completion of his board examination, at the end of the school year, Jeremiah plans to continue his work with Dr. Neil Hayes in pursuit of a PhD at UTHSC in Genetics, Genomics and Informatics.
